Michael J. Hogan, CPO/LPO

Mike was born and raised an Army Brat. He graduated Leavenworth High School in May of 1972 and enlisted in the United States Coast Guard that August. He served four years on active duty as a Navigator and Search and Rescue Coordinator. He was Honorably Discharged in 1976.
1976-1978 Mike was an Emergency Medical Technician and rode the Paramedic Unit for West Orange Memorial Hospital in Winter Garden, FL.
1978-1980 Mike attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
1980-1982 He attended and graduated from the University of Central Florida. While a college student he became involved with Army ROTC and joined the National Guard. He married his wife Barbara in 1980 and their son Matt was born in 1981. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in 1981 and commanded a Light Infantry Platoon.
1982-1986 Active Duty U.S. Army
Upon his graduation from UCF, Mike went on Active Duty. He first attended the Army Infantry School at Ft. Benning, GA. and then attended Helicopter Flight School at Ft. Rucker, AL. Upon his graduation from Flight School, He was assigned to the 120th Aviation Company Ft. Richardson, AK. He served as a Helicopter Pilot and Flight Section Leader, Company Admin Officer, and an Artillery Battalion Staff Officer. After paying the Army back for putting him through school, he was Honorably released from Active Duty and returned to Orlando, FL. in 1986.
It took three years of dead-end jobs and looking for a new career before he found entre’ into the Prosthetic & Orthotic field as an apprentice with McCarthy Hanger, CP. in 1990. In May of 1991, he was accepted to the Prosthetic Certificate Program at Florida International University. After graduation from FIU, he worked for Nova Care O&P. He was Certified as an ABC Prosthetist and a BOC Orthotist in 1993.
1994-2017 Private Practice. In 1994, Mike and Barb opened their first practice providing In-Home P&O services to Home Bound Patients who found it difficult if not impossible to come into an office for service. Over the next 23 years, Mike and Barb built and sold four O&P practices. They sold their final practice Hogan P&O in May of 2017.
Mike was contacted by a Headhunter in June of 2018 and asked if he would be interested in working a Staff Practitioner for Restore POC In Kissimmee, FL. He spent the next two years providing In-Home Prosthetic and Orthotic services all over Central Florida from Ocala in the North to Lake Wales in the South and Coast to Coast.
He went right to work the following week providing Business Start UP consulting services for M3DVR Inc.
